Gluten-free pumpkin pan de Muerto

Pan de Muerto is traditionally prepared for the day of death.

PUMPKIN Pan de muerto

Pan de Muerto is traditionally prepared bread for the day of death. It is usually designed to look like crossbones and skulls. And it's given as an offering to a family ancestors.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups oat flour
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 2 tbsp ground flaxseeds + 6 water
  • 1 cup plant milk
  • 2-4 tbsp maple syrup or rice syrup
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat your oven at 350 F.
    2. Mix all your ingredients using a medium bowl.
    3. Let the dough rest inside the fridge for about 30 minutes.
    4. When ready, add make 8 little balls and 8 medium.
    5. Using the same dough, make 16 bone-looking sticks.
    6 . Grab a medium ball and place two bones making a cross, on the middle place the small ball.
