Vegan bacon

INGREDIENTS

8-10 pieces rice paper

4 tbsp nutritional yeast 

1 tbsp garlic powder

4 tbsp olive or avocado oil

6 tbsp tamari or soy sauce

1/2 tsp ground black pepper

1/2 tsp smoked paprika 

 

LET THE FUN BEGIN 

Preheat the oven to 400F.
Prepare two baking sheets with sheets of parchment paper.
Whisk together all the ingredients (as your marinade) in a bowl except the rice paper.
Place the sheet of rice paper onto the marinade and flip. Make sure it is coated and starting to soften slightly.
Place onto a cutting board. Dip the second sheet of rice paper and place it on top of the first.
Using a pizza cutter, cut rice paper into thick bacon-like strips. Repeat the technique with the remaining rice paper until the baking sheet is filled.
Bake for about 10 minutes, until crisp.
